Autumn is frosty mornings that bring colorful hues of red, orange, and bright yellow leaves covering the mountains in one last fling of defiance before falling to the ground as they swirl madly in the wake of gusty winds.
It's also fields of goldenrod, white and purple daisies, chrysanthemums, and vivid marigolds blooming in all their glory..,
pumpkin patches, gourds, and the bales of hay standing in barren fields..,
The last tomatoes picked before the frost to ripen on the kitchen windowsill..,
cornstalks rustling in the wind, scarecrows, and the anticipation of holidays ahead..,
as family and friends once more gather together around tables filled with food,,.
thankful for filled shelves of food in the pantry and a full freezer to see you through the days ahead.
