Hello!

Thanks for stoppping by!

Feel free to take a moment to leave a comment or note. Sign up as a member if you want automatic updates on anything my family, pets, relatives, and I do...uh.., well within reason.

You will only hear from me quarterly depending on how wild my life gets as quite frankly I have plenty of stuff to keep me busy- not to mention having to wade through oodles of "cute" emails and forwards sent my way daily that "well meaning" people send (hint hint) giving me a horror of doing the same to others.

You are always free to opt out at any time.  I promise not to send you a nasty email back, forward you my day's worth of junk mail, or sell/send your email address to a company that specializes in blitzing people with spam.  Am I nice or what?

Meanwhile have a great day!

I recently stumbled across your recipe website. I would like to thank you for posting them. My grandmother was from Tennessee and I never got to write her recipes down (she did them from memory)...when she passed away I thought all of the wonderful recipes were gone. Thanks to you, I have found MANY that i remember cooking with her....Thank you again

The Hatmakers live in Brandenburg,Ky. Shamara Ray told us about your web site and I really enjoyed reading about going back to your Granny's home. We used to keep up with people from the past , but have lost touch with so many. Looks like you are staying busy. Love the Hatmakers

Hi Dorcas,

I just got home from Jamestown. We have a cabin in Spruce Creek. I have gotten bit AGAIN and sick again. I love our place but am so tired of treating lymes since everytime I go there I get sick. I was not there 2 hrs and found a seed tick crawling on me! Everyone said not to worry about seed ticks so I was interested in your comments. I am a massage therapist and have become quit good at treating lymes naturally if you would like to get together sometime and exchange stories about what you are doing to help your immune system. It really is an epidemic there as far as I am concerned. God Bless, Deb
