While still dark, even during the coldest winter days, the roosters begin to crow signaling that another day has arrived.
Winter is still a busy season here on the Walker farm just with different chores.
Freezing temperatures mean the gold fish pond freezes over so I keep a block of wood floating on the surface so the fish can still get oxygen even in the coldest weather.
It's also giving treats making sure my half grown chicks get enough food and..,
keeping my little guinea hens that were hatched out of tiny eggs this summer warm with the heat lamp and safe in their enclosed pen as we watch them grow into adults.
Oh yes, lots of things are happening around the Walker farm no matter the season!
